What happens to undeliverable mail?
If you did not provide a shipping address when sending your documents, undeliverable documents are returned to our printing partner and destroyed there. You will then receive a notification in the dashboard that the documents have not been delivered.

Registered shipment
How does a registered shipment work?
A registered shipment is delivered to the destination within 3 business days. If the recipient cannot accept the registered letter, he or she will receive an invitation letter in the mailbox. With this, he or she will have to report to a post office or postal point to receive the registered letter. If this is not done within a period of 2 weeks, the postal partner will return it to our printing partner who will scan the envelope and destroy the letter. Within Postbird, the status of that letter is then automatically updated.
What does the "returned to sender" status mean for a registered mail?
The status "returned to sender" means that the registered letter could not be delivered to the recipient. In this case, the letter is returned to our printing partner who will then destroy the letter.
Can I track the status of my registered mail?
Yes. When the registered mail has been delivered, you will receive a delivery confirmation in your personal dashboard.
What if my registered mail does not arrive?
When the registered mail cannot be delivered, you get a notification in the dashboard. The registered shipment will then be destroyed by our printing partner.

You can download a proof of shipment for your registered shipment in Postbird.
