Integration
Capabilities
At Postbird, we understand that seamless integration is important to your business. That's why we offer several integration options to meet your specific needs:
- Desktop Tool (Dropbox principle): We offer a desktop tool that you can install on the user's computer. This works in a similar way to Dropbox, allowing you to effortlessly sync and send files without using the web interface.
- Server Side Tool: We also offer a server-based version of the Postbird desktop tool for businesses that prefer a centralized approach.
- SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol): We can set up a secure SFTP connection for you. This allows you to easily upload and send files through your own system or software.
- REST API (Application Programming Interface): Our REST API provides advanced integration capabilities. This allows you to seamlessly integrate Postbird with your own software, applications or systems. This allows Postbird to fit perfectly into your business processes.
1. Desktop Tool
The Postbird desktop tool provides a convenient way to send documents automatically. Here's how it works:
- Folders by Shipping Type: Upon installation, the desktop tool will automatically create different folders for different shipping types, such as registered mail, color printing, recto-verso documents, and more. These folders will help you select the desired shipping method.
- Place the Document in the Right Folder: To send a document, simply place it in the corresponding folder. For example, if you want to send a document registered, in color with recto-verso printing, place it in the 'Registered_Color_Double-Sided' folder. The desktop tool will recognize the document and start the sending process automatically.
- Automatic Sending: Once the document is in the correct folder, the desktop tool will automatically detect it and send it via Postbird. This saves you time and effort, and ensures that your documents are always sent correctly.
The desktop tool is designed to simplify and automate the sending process, so you don't waste time on manual steps. It provides flexibility and control over your shipments and ensures that they are processed quickly and efficiently. If you want to learn more about setting up the desktop tool or have specific questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
2. Server Side Tool
This version of the desktop tool can be installed on a central server within your organization. This allows multiple users to access the tool from different locations, creating a shared and streamlined sending experience. It is also possible to have your own applications automatically place documents in the appropriate folder on that server. That way you have zero-coding integration.
- Uniform Folder Structure: Like the individual desktop tool, the server-based version provides a uniform folder structure for different sending types (such as registered, color, recto-verso, and more). This makes it easy to send documents correctly.
- Central Control: With the server-based tool, you maintain central control over the sending process and can easily manage user rights and access by giving access to users on the central folders.
- Efficiency and Scalability: This option is ideal for companies that want efficiency and scalability in their shipping processes without a complex integration project.
If you are interested in the server-based desktop tool or want to know more about installation and configuration, feel free to contact us. We would be happy to help you find the best solution for your organization.
3. SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol).
At Postbird, we understand that different organizations have different needs when it comes to sending documents. That's why we offer support for SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) integration.
Here's how it works:
- SFTP Server with Folder Structure: We can set up an SFTP server for you with the same folder structure as our desktop tool system. These folders are organized by sending type (e.g., registered, color, recto-verso, and more).
- Drop functionality: Customers can upload documents manually to the relevant folder on the SFTP server, or documents can be "dropped" through automatic processes based on specific criteria.
- Safety and Security: SFTP guarantees secure and encrypted data transfer, maintaining the confidentiality of your documents.
- Flexibility: This option offers a high level of flexibility, allowing customers to send documents in a way that best suits their needs and workflow.
To learn more about SFTP integration or if you have specific questions about setting up this system, don't hesitate to contact us. We are ready to help you configure the best solution for your organization.
4. Rest API (Application Programming Interface).
Postbird's REST API integration provides the most comprehensive capabilities for deep and customized integration of Postbird with your existing systems or software.
Here are some of the benefits and capabilities of our REST API:
- Document Uploading: You can upload documents directly from your own software or system to Postbird using the REST API. This eliminates the need to manually move documents around.
- Check Status of Documents: Through the API, you can easily track the status of your sent documents. You get real-time feedback on where your documents are in the shipping process.
- Send Documents: With the REST API, you can not only upload documents, but also initiate the shipping process, including selecting shipping options and destinations.
- Flexibility: Our REST API offers an unprecedented level of flexibility, allowing you to create custom workflows that perfectly fit your business processes.
- Efficiency: This integration option improves the efficiency of your document shipment, resulting in time savings and accuracy.
